Care givers support group therapy

The care-givers support group bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. This common ground might be bipolar, depression, schizophrenia, ADHD just to mention but a few. A care-givers support group provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences, feelings and coping strategies thus realizing they are not in it alone.  A care-givers support group may fill a gap between medical treatment and the need for emotional support for the care-giver. The patients relationship with a doctor or other medical personnel may not provide adequate emotional support for the care-giver and a person's family and friends may not understand the impact of a disease and treatment on the care giver. A support group among people with shared experiences may function as a bridge between medical and emotional needs for the care-giver.
